SafeSmart Access has sourced, manufactured and supplied the height access market since 1997, in various ways. The initial offering was a scaffold system imported from the UK called Easi-Dec which was predominantly used for light residential work.
Over the last decade it became apparent that the scaffolding and temporary works industry was crying out for a ONE STOP SHOP supplier who understood their needs, had the resource to carry sufficient stock, and knew where to find the gear the industry required and understood the applicable safety standards.
The Proscaf ringlock scaffold system was acquired in 2008. This system already enjoyed a good reputation as a high quality ringlock at an affordable price. Scaffolders soon found they could afford a decent system, could compete and grow their businesses without breaking the bank. The old wedge lock methods and tube and clip systems were rapidly outclassed by a more efficient, versatile scaffold system.
SafeSmart Access continued to strive to become the ‘ONE STOP SHOP’ and later the exclusive UK Leach’s range of tools and equipment was obtained due to the increasing clamour for good gear that a scaffolder wants to be seen with. Scaffolders take a pride in their tools, this industry is all about taking the knocks and Leach’s gear certainly does that. As a range of tools and equipment, Leach’s has it all.
Other products followed - Harnesses and lanyards, rubbish chutes, debris netting, composite planks, shrink wrap, safety netting, ladders, couplers and steel tube. The Proscaf system can also be used in propping scenarios. Along with the range SafeSmart Access is backed up by an aluminium and steel fabrication plant that can make anything, to any spec, on time and on budget.
More recently SafeSmart Access launched a finance package enabling customers to have full use of the Proscaf system while preserving their cashflow with a right to purchase at a future date. Today, SafeSmart Access stands out from the pack when it comes to range, can-do attitude, and fast back up service… the sort of traits the scaffolding and temporary works industry demands.
When it comes to supporting people safely at heights, with SafeSmart Access you’re in safe hands. All the gear is manufactured to ISO9001 accreditation or similar and regularly tested to AU/NZ safety standards by external test laboratories and independent engineers. With the world flooded with imitations, in the scaffolding business, lives are at risk, reliable and dependable are two attributes we take very seriously.
